John Burke was a featured workshop presenter at this year's Labyrinth Society Gathering in New Harmony, Indiana, November 13, 2010. His presentation entitled "New Classical Harmonies in the Labyrinth" explores the role of music in the labyrinth from the perspective of a contemporary classical composer.

Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre http://www.harbourfrontcentre.com/worldroutes/festivals.cfm?id=2182 will be the venue for the latest chapter in John Burke’s ongoing Labyrinth Project entitled “Hieratikos, The Classical Labyrinth.” Featuring Ensemble Vivantgantine Room into a magical contemplative space with the installation of a labyrinth both designed and facilitated by Barbara Brown and Vanessa Compton of Canadian Labyrinth Ventures.
In addition to the performances in the Brigantine room, York Quay Centre, 235 Queens Quay West, at 3pm on Saturday, August 7 and at 2pm on Sunday, August 8, there will an outdoor labyrinth performance at 10pm on Saturday, August 7 on the Harbourfront grounds. Given the special nature of the indoor events, attendance is limited. Admission free for all events.
